← Moldavian Lawyers Union

Moldavian Lawyers Union is a public, nongovernmental, apolitical fund. It activates in public interest being constituted on one’s free will in order to realize in common the goal of contribution to fulfilling of the rule of law state in Republic of Moldova as well as promoting in the society of lawyers profession and legal science. Moldavian Lawyers Union holds its activity for an undetermined period of time, on the entire territory of Republic of Moldova basing on the principles of transparency and collegiality.
Objectives of Moldavian Lawyers Union activity are:
- to contribute to recognition and observance of human rights
- to promote legal professional interests of different categories of lawyers
- to assist to the reorganization of legal institutes in accordance to the Constitution of RM, other national laws as well as to international acts to which RM is part including professional preparing of their stuff
- to contribute to implementation of legality in every domain of communities life
- to help at the establishment of a secure climate of public order and discipline
- to get people acquainted with national and international legal provisions.
- to stimulate the development of legal doctrine and science by organizing publication, congresses, scientific researches and other measures with a scientific character
- to stimulate popularization of legal conscience and modern ideas throughout publicity, meetings in legal clubs, organizing in institutions of high education different competitions with a legal thematic
- to familiarize lawyers of Republic of Moldova with legal systems, jurisprudence and literature of foreign countries
- to undertake measures of assuring general cultural and physical state of lawyers organizing exhibitions, trips within the state and abroad, sport competitions etc
- represent lawyers from Republic of Moldova in front of similar organizations, to participate to international scientific reunions and express opinion other all problems of international legal activity etc
In order to fulfil the above mentioned objectives Moldavian Lawyers Union can undertake any of the following activities:
- to communicate and collaborate with community representatives
- widely use means of mass-media in order to inform, explain and appreciate the activity of Moldavian Lawyers Union as well as on other topics that a tired to the fulfilling of Moldavian Lawyers Union objectives
- will create and posses own means of information that will be used in the way established by their Statute and according to the national legislation
- will organize congresses, conferences, exhibitions, meetings with professionals of national and international level
- will represent the interests of its members in the law court as well as in other organizations
- will study the practice of foreign states regarding their law system, lawyer’s profession, independence of state bodies in fulfilling of their attributions etc, and will make proposals for implementation of this practice in our state
- will elaborate law projects and other categories of legal acts within the limits of the goals and objectives of the Moldavian Lawyers Union
- will develop centres made of libraries, data bases that will be available for beneficiaries for free or for pay
- will edit, spread or/and commercialize literature and specialized bulletins
- will edit books, researches, translations, magazines etc
- will realize radio and TV programs
-will organize summer schools, trips, exchange of experience with similar national and international institutions
-will undertake economical activity of production as well as entrepreneurial activity that will contribute to the realization of statutory objectives.
Member of the Union can be any natural person citizen of RM , that reached 18 years, has a licence in law, or is a student of a profile institution. Legal entities can also become members of the Moldavian Lawyers Union at the decision of its leading bodies.
Moldavian Lawyers Union is administrated by General Assembly (Congress), Administration Council, Permanent Biro of the Administration Council, President of the Moldavian Lawyers Union, Control Committee. In territory Moldavian Lawyers Union is administrated by General Assembly, Local Council of Administration, President.
The patrimony of the Moldavian Lawyers Union is made up of fees paid by its members as well as donations, sponsor investments, money obtained as result of organizing seminars, congresses, service rendering, editorial activities and other means.
